Verify a peptide vendor in 10 minutes
The exact quick-check workflow we run before any deep dive. Ten steps, roughly a minute each, in the order that eliminates bad vendors fastest.
This is triage, not a full audit. It will not catch a sophisticated bad actor, but it eliminates the majority of risky vendors before you spend a cent. Do the steps in order: each one is placed to fail fast.
- Minute 1: check our scorecard. If we have graded the vendor, most of the work below is already done, with dated evidence. Press Ctrl+K on any page of this site and type the name.
- Minute 2: WHOIS the domain. Any free WHOIS tool works. Note the registration date. A young domain does not disqualify a vendor, but it must match the story the site tells about itself.
- Minute 3: find the company. Legal name, address, country, anything. If the business is anonymous, accountability is zero and you can stop here.
- Minute 4: open a product page and look for a COA. No COA at all is a stop sign. A COA takes you to minute five.
- Minute 5: verify the lab. Named lab, real website, working contact. If the report cannot be traced to an independent lab, treat every purity number on the site as marketing copy.
- Minute 6: match lot numbers. The COA’s batch should correspond to what is actually being sold. Vendors that batch-label honestly tend to be honest elsewhere.
- Minute 7: read the reship and refund policy. It should exist, in writing, with conditions. Silence means every shipping problem becomes your problem.
- Minute 8: scan community mentions with a date filter. Search the vendor’s name on community platforms and filter to the past year. Ignore both the loudest praise and the loudest anger; look for patterns and how the vendor responds.
- Minute 9: sanity-check payments. More than one payment option, a checkout that matches the brand, and no pressure toward the least reversible method available.
- Minute 10: send support one question. Anything real, like “which lab tested batch X?”. The speed, tone, and substance of the reply is the best preview of what happens after they have your money.
If a vendor passes all ten: still start with a small order. Verification reduces risk; it never removes it. And nothing in this guide is medical advice; research peptides are research-use-only materials.
